My only real complaints are that 1 Arthur is so accepting of Guinevere’s and Lancelot’s relationship, and 2 though they don’t consummate their love, these two are more than happy to approach and sometimes cross boundaries.
Two men, separated by a generation, united by legend, inspire the tales of England’s famous hooded outlaw in this thrilling historical adventure.
Queen of Camelot – Nancy McKenzie – Google Books
The tragic fate that befell him worked out better than I expected it to, queeb by a large misunderstanding. I just felt like it was written by a ten-year-old. The powerful love and romance between the characters was heartwrenching. But she also has real strengths–courage, determination, humor.
Book Review: Queen of Camelot
She is also the most visionary character in the book, seeing a nation where Saxons become British citizens, when everyone else can’t cameloh such a thing. Those who love historical fiction and romance will love this story with its fascinating look into ancient Britain, mckenzke I feel that McKenzie handles the more vulgar parts of the mythology as tastefully as possible.
She will be gwenhwyfarthe white shadow, destined to betray her king, and be herself betrayed.

Elaine does seduce Lancelot, but only to spite Guinevere and not because she actually loves Lancelot. Also, note that I have put it up to five stars since the information wasn’t missing, it was just in a different area.
Niniane, the high priestess of Avalon, is the only other woman who seems to want Arthur to succeed, but she is nothing more than an enigmatic character who brings more distress for Guinevere with her prophecies. The heroine emerges as a very human woman.
The love she had for Arthur and Lancelot was clear and passionate and I adored the contrast between the two. Plus, the end has a bit of a plot hole. It’s a very modern take on love that is not well understood by anyone outside these three, thus rumors circulate and one can presume this is the stuff that made it into legend. Now Guinevere must make a fateful choice: Mordred will be her greatest joy—and the key to her ultimate downfall.
See all books by Nancy McKenzie. This is Guinevere’s autobiography and there is no doubt she is the true hero of this tale. Did I detect a few moments of simpering? Guinevere was redeemed for me in this version. To claim her magic and the men she loves, Rose will break every rule there is.
My only small issue with the novel cakelot that I wish McKenzie had turned the prologue into an epilogue. So much better than Lancelot!
She decides to raise Mordred, teaching him to be a ruler and to honor Camelot. Years later, Elaine schemes to make Lancelot her husband, as revenge to Guinevere for taking Arthur from her. Want mckenaie Read Currently Reading Read. This isn’t one of them.
